Goodput

Productive, acceptable AI output that meets quality requirements, as distinct from raw throughput or low-cost but unusable output.

A useful corrective to token-minimization thinking: a cheap, fast, wrong answer has a goodput of zero no matter how little it cost to generate. The FinOps Foundation explicitly rejects optimizing for token efficiency in a way that produces unusable output.
